People call me @minibego
There’s a beautiful story behind my very Spanish name, Begoña Martínez —that’s me— but some English speakers find it hard to pronounce and spell. One day Twitter was invented and the folks there started calling me @minibego. And it has stuck.
In a former life
I taught interpreting at University; I wrote books and taught Spanish in Greece; I owned two translation agencies (instead of one); I worked as a high-level PA and interpreter in a British company frequented by millionaires.
Still learning: ukulele, painting, calligraphy, swimming
I love learning so I’m never out of fun stuff to do. I’m learning to play the ukulele. I paint. I love calligraphy. I adore swimming.

Bego, for friends
I’ve had a computer since screens were green, and I love languages, literature, art and all things digital. Family and friends call me Bego. Maybe you will too, soon.
Her feedback was always honest and I learned many things from her. Begoña is not only a great professional, but also someone who cares about the team she leads.

Social fighter
OK, maybe fighter is not the right word as I am deeply into non-violence. But I want to change the world, because it won’t change on its own. I volunteer at Amnesty International and donate to Greenpeace, Intermón Oxfam and the Red Cross.

Book worm

Traveller
I love travelling and writing about it.
I specially like visiting other cities, trying all their food and pretending I live there. That might sometimes mean that you can find me reading in a corner instead of running from a monument to another.

Teamwork & peace of mind
I have been described as a one-woman army when it comes to work, and the only thing I can protest about it is that I am profoundly non-violent, a pacifist, and I love being part of an efficient team.
